Beach

There are two ways to get to the beach.   The most direct way is walking up Franklyn Street.  Its about 600 feet to the beach entrance.  The other method is to go through the oceanfront complex.   It's a little bit longer walk, but you can stop by the pool.

 â€‹

We provide beach chairs, umbrellas, a beach wagon, and other beach accessories as well.

Oceanside Pools & Complex

Corolla Light's oceanside complex is one of its best features.  There are three pools, basketball courts, a volleyball court, two playgrounds, a shuffleboard court, and a restaurant. Throughout the summer, there are always activities going on, including cornhole tournaments, yoga, etc.

The complex is a 600 foot walk from the townhouse.

The Sound

Pool, Sunsets, and Nature Walk

Fun isn't only available while on beach.  The sound provides ample opportunity for fun in the sun.  The sound side pool (near the sports enter) tends to be less crowded, tennis and pickle ball courtsare very close to the townhouse, and you can take in beautiful sunsets from the nature trail which is marked in red or Whalehead.

Additionally, the green bike and walking path connects you to the Corolla Lighthouse, the sports center, and beyond.

Sports Complex

Sports Complex

Corolla Light's recently renovated 36,000 square foot sports center is the second largest fitness center on the Outer Banks.  Free weight row, a circuit room, a cardio room, a racquetball court, two tennis courts, a 25 yard heated pool, and a 12 person jetted spa.  The locker rooms include showers and a sauna.

The sports complex is about a mile from the townhouse.  Parking is available and the trolley will take you there during the summer months.
